Chuck has been a principal of The Martin Architectural Group for over 40 years with a concentration in mixed-use planning and architecture and a resident of Annapolis for over 25 years. Chuck, a recipient of the AIA Gold Medal for Design, has been personally involved in the programming, planning, and architecture of millions of square feet of mixed-use commercial development and high density residential across the country and specifically, within the Mid-Atlantic states. He specializes in making pedestrian friendly streets. The client base for this work has involved some of the largest regional and multi-market developers in the industry: Beazer Homes, The Bozzuto Group, Centex Homes, Greenberg Gibbons Commercial, K. Hovnanian, Petrie Ross Ventures, Pulte Homes, Roseland Properties Prudential, Sturbridge Homes, and Toll Brothers. The most recent mixed-use communities he has worked on include Annapolis Towne Centre in Annapolis MD, Hunt Valley Towne Centre Baltimore MD, and The Towne Centre at Waugh Chapel (Gambrills, MD). A graduate of University of Utah’s five-year professional degree program with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, he also has completed graduate studies at the Wharton School of Real Estate Finance and is a member of NAHB, The Home Builders Association of Maryland, The Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
