BELTWAY PLAZA

Beltway Plaza is a successful mall which has been Master planned to be converted a mixed use town center over the next 20 years. The current mall contains a movie theater, retail anchor, and food anchor, all of which will remain. The first phase consists of 750 apartments and a hotel along the northern edge of the site. The first phase includes a community center, and the first building to be constructed will be a wrap style apartment building consisting of 317 dwelling units and a 476 space structured parking garage. The architectural style is being designed as Art Deco in recognition of the many art deco style buildings in the heart of Greenbelt. The project will be designed to achieve LEED Gold, and the anticipated construction start is for spring of 2022.
