Gibson’s Grant is a 280-unit residential community, established in 2007, and located in Chester, MD on Kent Island in Queen Anne’s County. The community is nestled on a beautiful parcel of land with the Chester River to the North and Macum Creek to the West and 55 acres of open space with ponds and walking trails. Martin contributed designs for six single-family homes with three and four bedrooms. The community is based on Traditional Neighborhood Design, featuring narrow lots, large front porches, partial basements, and 2-car rear garages with optional studio above. Martin’s Hartley model was awarded Outstanding Design and Architecture for Detached Homes on Lots under 10,000 SF from the MBIA Maryland Awards of Excellence.
