Melford Village is a 116 acre infill parcel within the greater 413 acre Melford development in Bowie, MD. The site has been rezoned as M-X-T and the conceptual site plan prepared includes a wide range of residential types, including flats, townhomes, apartments, villas, wrapper apartment buildings, and senior housing. In addition, retail, office, and a wide variety of public spaces have been included in the community, including an ampitheather, a walking trail and pond, and community buildings. The project was conceived and prepared under LEED for Neighborhood Development guidelines, and purposely crafted to promote walkability, connectivity, and street frontage.
